1st Infantry Division’s testimonial parade and turn-over ceremony slated on February 24

The officers, men and civilian employees of the 1st Infantry (TABAK) Division, Philippine Army in Camp Major Cesar Sang-an, Pulacan, Labangan, Zamboanga del Sur are now preparing for the testimonial parade and turn over ceremony of outgoing commander, Maj. General Nehemias G. Pajarito to his next successor on the 4th week this month.
Pajarito who is reaching the retirement age of 56 on February 24, is scheduled to turn over the command of the Philippine Army’s primary infantry unit to his predecessor after serving 33 yrs. with great love, commitment, dedication and loyalty.
He will relinquish his post and will formally turn over the leadership of the 6,814 strong Philippine Army as commander of the 1st ID to his equally capable successor whose name is yet to be revealed as there is still no official declaration who will replace his post.
After his retirement, he will spend his time with his family in
“ I will devote my time with my family and spend the rest of my life with them,” Pajarito happily said.
As he is about to leave the army unit , Pajarito cannot forget the institution where he spent many fruitful years of his career, for it greatly shaped his life, and it is where he was trained and learned to be a disciplined and a good soldier.
